Snow Screen / White Noise When Switching Device Sources

In a unique and rare case the TV display may show white noise, sometimes also called 'snow screen', when Caavo is switching from one source device to another (ie. switching from Xfinity to Roku).  If you find that the white noise persists for more than a few seconds and that your Caavo is not responsive to remote control commands, you may have to re-initialize your Caavo connection to the TV.  Please follow the following steps...

Restart your Caavo

  • Locate the 'Sources' button on your Caavo remote.
  • Long press the 'Sources' button and release once you see that your Caavo has restarted.
  • If this does not resolve your issue you can try the steps below.

If you are using a Caavo Blinky HDMI cable...

  • Locate the HDMI blinky cable that is connected to the 'output' port on your Caavo.
  • Momentarily press the LED button on the cable connector.

If the above does not work, please try the steps below...

  • Locate the HDMI blinky cable on your TV's HDMI input port that Caavo is connected to.
  • Momentarily press the LED button on the cable connector.

If you are using a regular 3rd party HDMI cable...

  • Locate the HDMI cable that is connected to the 'output' port on your Caavo.
  • Unplug the HDMI cable, wait for a few seconds, and plug it back in.
