Apps (Applications)

Apps (applications) are the video streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, or HBO Now. These apps are typically accessed via a source devices (hardware) like AppleTV, Roku, or Fire Stick.

Control Center supports a widely used set of apps. This support allows Control Center to unify all your shows from all your apps across all your devices into a single watchlist, we call Caavo Cache.

Once you search for and view a show via the Control Center user interface (UI), it will automatically be added into the Caavo Cache watchlist. This will set search priority to these shows and allow you to pick up where you left off quicker. Control Center will continuously add support for more apps.

Deep Linking Apps

These are apps that we are able to search, launch the app, and automatically locate content directly from the Control Center interface or using voice. Apps that we can deep link into include:

Amazon, HBO Now, HBOGo, Showtime Anytime, Hulu, Netflix, Showtime, Vudu*, Plex

     * The Vudu app can be deeplinked via the Caavo remote on Roku devices only at this time.

Search & Launch Apps

These are apps that Control Center is able to search for content, and can launch the app on your supported device. You can still navigate within the app, but Control Center may not able to deep link into the content. These apps include:

iTunes, Starz, TBS, TNT and YouTube

Launch Apps

These are apps that Control Center is able to launch the app, but not able to search or deep link into content on the app. You can still navigate the app using Control Center remote. These apps include:

DirecTV Now and SlingTV

Most other apps can be navigated only (not searched or deep linked) using Control Center remote.
