AppleTV Fails to Connect

Before connecting your AppleTV to Control Center, AppleTV should be set up and we recommend that you confirm:

  1. AirPlay is enabled on your AppleTV
  2. Home Sharing is enabled on your AppleTV
  3. Your AppleTV is on the same network as Control Center

Control Center will not find your AppleTV during setup if AppleTV is not connected to the same network. This can happen if you have more than one network in your home, if AppleTV has lost its network connection, or if the AppleTV has not been set up yet.

When this happens, Control Center will display a line saying "I don't see my device. Help me with this step". Select this option to display video from the AppleTV, after which you can then use the AppleTV remote to make sure it is connected to the same network as Control Center. Control Center will also display the network name and subnet it is using so you can make sure AppleTV connects to the same network. Once your AppleTV is connected to the network, press the CAAVO button to continue setup.

If your AppleTV cannot be connected to the network at this time, press the FAST FORWARD (>>) button on the Control Center remote to skip setting up your AppleTV. Please note, if you skip setup, you will not be able to control AppleTV with your Control Center remote.
