APPS: Plex

Watchlist
Control Center supports Plex watchlists and your Plex server search.  Linking your credentials enables Control Center to display your Watchlist. Control Center will sync your watchlist nightly for shows and movies you have watched. It also allows Control Center to search your servers to provide results for "watch" and "search" commands.

  • "Watch" commands will still require you select "Watch on Plex" before you are taken to the app.  In some cases, the program will play while in others you may still have to select that option.

The Plex app can be launched and controlled via the Control Center remote on:

  • Apple TV
  • FireTV
  • Roku
  • nVidia Shield

Please Note: Caavo Accounts does not sign you in on your devices. In order to launch an app or deeplink into content, a viewer must first download and sign into the given app on their device (i.e. AppleTV, FireTV, Roku, Shield)

Search
Press the MIC button on the Control Center remote and say the name of a program, making sure to be very exact about the title.  When search results display, take note of the fact that there can be several categories on the left side of the screen: Live, Upcoming, Streaming, Web, Plex.

Scroll down to the Plex option.  Results will display in a few seconds.

Choose Your Servers
If searches are not displaying programs you know are on your server, go to Settings> Apps & Credentials> Plex> Plex Preferred Servers and make sure the appropriate server is selected.

Plex as the default search tab
Make Plex the default search tab by going to Settings> Apps & Credentials> Plex> Plex as default search tab.  This makes Plex the first option for all search results.  You will have to move to other options on the Search result screen to see any other offerings (Live, Upcoming, Streaming, Web).
