You can "Chromecast" and "Airplay" content-sharing on the devices you normally would, but Control Center makes using these devices easier with auto-switching functionality. Just initiate sharing through the device, as you normally would and Control Center will detect that device activity and display it on screen (via auto-switch).
You can adjust the auto-switch setting with Device Control Settings.
