Control Types
Xfinity can only be controlled via IR controls. Please make sure that Control Center has line of sight to your Xfinity box or use the included IR emitter. See note below re IR learning.
Auto Switching
Control Center can detect the following activities on Xfinity:
- Power on
- IR Remote operation
If Auto Switching for Xfinity is enabled and any of these activities happen, then Control Center will turn on and switch sources to Xfinity automatically.

Xfinity keys and functions are mapped to the following Control Center buttons:

You can also customize additional long-press functions. Long press the (9 Dots) button. You can then select a function on the left side of the menu, and press & hold the button you want to assign that function to.
Deep Linking
Deep Linking on Xfinity supports navigating to specific shows or channels, searching DVR listings, and automatically launching to DVR show's detail page.
- Connect the Xfinity STB to any available Control Center HDMI port.
- Verify Control Center discovers the newly connected Xfinity STB.
- Verify Xfinity is connected to the same network as Control Center.
- Proceed with steps to setup the new device
- While in setup, follow the instructions to verify you can control the Xfinity with your Control Center remote.
IR Learning
Xfinity set top boxes support both RF and IR. RF is used when Xfinity is paired to the Xfinity remote. Control Center does not support learning RF so Xfinity has to be switched over to IR. In order to switch Xfinity over to IR, its remote must be unpaired with the set top box. This will force the Xfinity remote to change over to emitting IR. Once the Xfinity remote is emitting IR, you will be able to go through the IR learning process with control center to learn the Xfinity remote.
