Control Center currently supports HDR but not Dolby Vision. If you are using an Apple TV connected to Control Center and are outputting to a Dolby Vision capable TV, you may run into video issues when trying to play Dolby Vision content on Netflix. To avoid this problem you will need to adjust some Apple TV settings so that Netflix Dolby Vision content is seen as HDR content.
Please follow the steps below to ensure that Netflix content plays properly on Apple TV.
- On Apple TV go to: Settings > Video and Audio > Format. Select a desired resolution that is not labeled as 'Dolby Vision'.
- On Apple TV go to: Settings > Video and Audio > Chroma. For the best video compatibility select a Chroma settings of '4:2:0'. If you are certain that you have high-quality HDMI 2.0 cables, you can try a Chroma setting of '4:2:2' for greater clarity.
- On Apple TV go to: Settings > Video and Audio > Match Content. Make sure that 'Match Dynamic Range' is set to 'Off'.
