Thanks to feedback from our customers we have added a new setting within the Control Center menus that will adjust the sensitivity for the remote to go to sleep.
If you select the "Enhanced Sensitivity" button by going to Settings-->Remote-->Enhanced Sensitivity it will prevent the remote from going to sleep as long as the Control Center is On. In this state you will not need to pick up the remote to enable key presses.
To disable Enhanced Sensitivity, click on the "Normal Sensitivity" button by going to Settings-->Remote-->Normal Sensitivity and it will switch back to normal operation. This means you will have to move the remote to enable key presses.
If you see the "Enhanced Sensitivity" button in this menu, the remote is currently set to Normal Sensitivity. If you see "Normal Sensitivity" button in this menu, the remote is currently set to Enhanced Sensitivity.
Warning: Enhanced Sensitivity mode will drain the remote batteries much faster.
